Fulcrum has always been an avid supporter of the Insurance Institute of Gauteng’s educational programmes. This year, Sue Adams will be taking part in the IIG Roots & Wings programme as a mentor.

When asked why she thought this programme would be a great fit, Sue said: “I am passionate about encouraging people to achieve their full potential and am passionate about this industry. When I was just starting out in my career, I was blessed to have an amazing boss who saw my potential and nurtured it. As a result, I have achieved some of my career goals and have been recognized by various companies for my input.”

Sue went on to say she would have loved the opportunity to partake in a programme like this in the earlier days of her career.

“I would like to share my expertise and learnings with others in the industry. I’ve made lots of mistakes along the way and hopefully, I can help someone else not to make the same mistakes. I also have an opportunity to invest in the future of the industry and support someone in finding their niche.”

Sue has been paired with Monde Ntuli. Monde looks forward to learning from his mentor: “My main goal for this year is to expand my network, and find my niche within the insurance industry where I will be able to apply my technical experience and expertise to make an impact in the industry and enjoy what I do. “
