Fulcrum continues to support the Insurance Institute of Gauteng (IIG) educational programmes, and this year we are proud to have our team taking part in the IIG Class of 2026 Programme. We spoke to Prenesh Naidoo, Operations Assistant at Fulcrum Premium Finance, in our Q and A series to find out more about his journey and what he hopes to gain from the programme.
FULCRUM: Why did you decide to join the Class of 2026 programme
PRENESH: I decided to join the Class of 2026 programme because I’m committed to building a strong foundation in the insurance industry and developing the skills needed to grow professionally. The programme stood out to me because of its focus on practical learning, industry exposure, and collaboration with peers.
FULCRUM: What are you hoping to gain from taking part in this programme?
PRENESH: I hope to gain further experience and knowledge in the insurance industry. I also see the benefits of the charity that was selected, it is an amazing initiative.
FULCRUM: What are you most looking forward to learning from others in your class?
PRENESH: I’m particularly looking forward to learning from my classmates’ diverse experiences and perspectives within the insurance industry. Everyone comes from different backgrounds—whether underwriting, claims, risk management, or broking—and I think that creates a valuable opportunity to understand how different parts of the industry connect.
FULCRUM: What part of the insurance industry are you most curious about?
PRENESH: I’m particularly interested in deepening my understanding of risk, decision-making, and how different areas of insurance work together. I also see this as an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and engage with like-minded individuals who are equally driven to succeed.
FULCRUM: How would you describe your excitement about joining the programme in one word?
PRENESH: “Energised”
